1 tablespoon avocado oil
3 tablespoons peeled, minced fresh ginger
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 12-16 ounce package firm tofu, drained and cut into ½-inch pieces
3/4 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
1 teaspoon tahini, or almond butter
1 teaspoon organic raw honey
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
2 tablespoons chives, chopped (alternatively use chopped scallions)
2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds (also try black sesame seeds)
In a large saute pan or wok, heat avocado oil over medium heat. Add the ginger and garlic and sauté for 10 minutes. Add the tofu, toasted sesame oil, tahini, honey and hoisin sauce; gently cook through while stirring, about 10 more minutes. Top with chives and toasted sesame seeds and serve.
