So you're trying to stick to that healthy diet, but you give in too often. How about incorporating some healthy habits somewhere else in your day---apart from the times you "give in".
For example, if you're a late night eater (not a good habit), select from the following daytime habits to lighten up your day and ease your digestion (Digestion is a lot of work for your body and takes away from restful sleep and healing). 1.Wake up and drink 1-2 glasses of water. In one of them add juice of half a lemon or a tablespoon of raw apple cider vinegar. This will cleanse your liver and create a more alkaline state for your digestive system for the day. Drink 1-2 glasses of water between meals. 3. Eat 5 times during the day (meals that consist of nourishing whole organic foods). Other habits to add to your day at other times than one you know is like the worst you do... 1.)Take a brisk 10-15 minute walk in the morning (maybe good for the couch potato) 2.)Try a new food from the health food section: How about a sea vegetable such as nori (throw it in the blender to have a shakeable seaweed for your rice) (This may be a good habit change for someone who needs concentrated nutrients--such as the busy traveler who eats out all the time) Comment below some new habits you may try and would like to share... |
